Scoring:

The Cox-Sprague scoring system as shown in the One Design Championship Rules section of the YRA Year Book is recommended; however, each fleet may choose any scoring system. A TLE is scored by adding 50% of the difference between the number of fi finishers and starters (truncated if a fraction) to the number of finishers.

Shields Fleet One uses the Cox-Sprague system with the table given in the CS_Table tab of this workbook. This table differs from the YRA Year book table in the score assigned to the boat that finishes second in a two boat race, the scores assigned to boats that finish 21st or higher and the boats that are disqualified or do not finish.

YRA Season

The races included in the YRA season standings will be all the races on the YRA schedule, including the Memorial Day Regatta, the Independence Day Regatta, the LYC Race Week, the YRA-LIS One-Design Championship and all the Saturday YRA races with the exception of the Crew Race.

YRA Prizes

As prescribed in the 2018 YRA of LIS Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions.

Fleet 1 Season

Fleet 1 Qualification:

40% of starts on the 2017 Fleet 1 schedule

Throw Outs:

1 after 10 starts; 2 after 20 starts, 3 after 30

Spring Series

All starts on the YRA schedule prior to the LYC Race Week, including the Memorial Day Regatta and the Independence Day Regatta.

Summer Series

Polly Ann Series

Vic Onet is the donor of this award that is named after his two daughters.

Qualification:

The series consists of the Larchmont Memorial Day Regatta, The American Independence Day Regatta, LYC Race Week, The YRA-LIS One Design Championship and the the Indian Harbor YC Classic Boat Regatta. Participation in at least three of the series is required.

Throw outs:

One if four series sailed, two if five series sailed.
